having by passed the cafe Bray had left the mall and proceeded towards the market place. He no longer feared people hiding in the shadows waiting to take him back, his recent actions had seen to that with the best possible results

Someone came running down towards Bray, he had to dodge quickly to avoid being knocked down. As he turned he caught a real view of his follower.

They were pretty average height and build wise. They were dressed in black, their hair seemed to be blue and black. He had never seen them before, so he didn't have a clue why he was being followed. They didn't seem to be a techno, and he was just guessing, but the person didn't seem like one of the vid heads he'd heard about.

He decided to let things play out, at least until he was closer to his shadow.

Bray approached an old abandoned building. He took a look round for his shadow but he seemed to have lost him. He kicked at the door, and went inside. He had a feeling that his shadow would follow him after a while, that would be his time to grap his follower.

As he entred he heard something move, and before he could do anything he realised the shadow had beat him to it. He was too late to avoid the plank of wood that caught him across the head. He felt himself fall to the ground, he tried to look round but he was hit again.

The world went blank and Bray fell into unconsciousness.
