Hi all.  A quick state of the state, and then it's off to bed:

• Health is decent.  No major complaints or problems for a year, so I'm thrilled about that.
• Job is decent as well, a little tedious, but the people are great.  And a possible "merit increase," i.e., cost-of-living increase, coming soon, so yay for that.

Thank you all for your congratulations!  And, grades just came in, and I got Dean's Honors this quarter too!

As far as a party, I've been feeling under the weather lately, but we should do something, especially now that everyone is leaving too!  I still haven't taken the tags off my tassels, let alone affixed them to the set-aside T-shirt...

About fucking time, but nonetheless, done!  Last papers turned in and gotten back, three finals completed, library books returned, grad check complete, and yeah.  That's it.  I am a graduate. 

• read books of my own choosing
• write about anything besides literature
• knit, sew, crochet, weave cat hair, anything else crafty you can come up with
• throw out every last bit of junk in this house
• including the shelves

First, there was denial.  Then anger.  And finally, acceptance.  I am "The Jew" in my New Testament as literature class.  Oh goody, just what I always wanted to be (ok, so maybe I'm not totally past the anger stage ( Read more... )

Last night, Melissa and I went to see The Life of Brian, introduced by none other than John Cleese himself!  And guess what?  He was funny!
