I have no idea though, once ipods pop, they're pretty much dead. At least in my experience.

you got it for Christmas right?
send it back, ASAP. You might be able to get a new one.
At least take it to an Apple Store or something. Those suckers are expensive.

But Pons is right, I'm pretty sure it's dead too.

Yeah, sounds like the HD kicked a bucket. Bring it in to an Apple Store if there's one in the boonies, if not, call up the help line and ask where to send it for repairs - it'll be much cheaper than getting a new something.

go to the genius bar. they work miracles. and if they cant, they give you a new ipod.
