I'm a bit clueless...Breast Cancer 3Day what?

This is what I think you are talking about.

Heck, I'd pay someone to walk that. Sounds like it would be an amazing experience!

And just because I'm Mr. Obvious and dislike ambiguity....Yes, I would donate to/for you to walk.

You are so awesome! Watch my blog for progress updates and such.

We are running a can drive as well. Collecting cans from friends and businesses, Kyanne's kids want to help, so they'll be rinsing and crushing them!!

I think this is going to totally ROCK!

That is exactly what I'm talking about.
And from everything I've heard it is an AMAZING experiance.

I will be joining my co-worker's team, we will be "walking for" her friend who is pregnant and just found out she has breast cancer!!

I can't wait to do this!

I would donate for sure. You'd probably have to keep pestering me because I would procrastinate, but I'd definitely donate.

Oh, don't you worry, once I'm registered, you'll be pestered to death! :)

I'll help

Make sure to post on MNRF & MRFriends list

Think about having a fund raising dinner/event over the summer
Talk to me about a few other ideas

The registration fee by 16th is this month I assume?

Thanks for that idea, I will definately have to do that!!

And yes, that's this month.
There's apparently a meeting on the 20th that I'd really like to attend too- I'm working on that registration fee- I've got some help in the works...

We're also doing a can drive- save your aluminum cans! no need to crush them, they will be rinsed and crushed by my co-worker's children!

I wasn't sure if I was reading it right, so looked it up. I'm astounded, yes astounded, that they make walkers commit to $2,300 in pledges .... plus a hefty registration fee! And if you can't raise enough pledges, you have to take the balance out of your own pocket! Sorry Hun, "worthy cause" and all, but unless you've already got wealth to spread around ... that seems insane. Maybe just I'm out-of-touch. I got out of running charity walks and golf tournaments some time back because they were often not worth the hassle vs the return. But if a charity can get away with charging like this .... wow. I was just in a meeting this very afternoon with over a hundred leaders of nonprofit organizations who are really gonna be struggling with the economy being so down. So, I’m a little more than flabbergasted reading about the parameters of this walk-thingy.

Actually, if you don't make the minimum you have the option to *not* pay out of your own pocket and simply not participate in the actual walk.

As for the registration fee- that covers your food and lodging for the event.

They provide everything, food, water, tents... and in my case, the electricity for my CPAP.

I'll make a donation -- especially if it's easy and online and stuff :)
