Opinions
Abortion: Basically I think that if the unborn childs welfare is at risk and keeping the child would be dangerous then I believe that's valid. However, I think aborting a child because of inconvenience for the parent[s] or some other reason that's non health/wellbeing related is disgraceful.
Drugs/Alcohol: I think drugs and alcohol is okay, if it's done in moderation. I've seen a close friend get seriously injured due to drug/alcohol abuse. Not pretty. But, I've also seen how it can be done without causing anybody any harm whatsoever, so yeah.
Eating Disorders: Well, this is increasing all the time due to the media being obsessed with stick thin figures being sexy/attractive and that this is how we all should be. It sickens me when I see all the magazines with all these models in that look like twigs from a damn tree. Looks aren't everything, yeah they play a part but there's more to a person than what you see on the outside.
Cigarettes: I personally, don't like it. But, that's because a few family members have died from cancer caused by their smoking habits.
Religion: Arghhhh. I hate religion, apologies to anybody I may offend with this but frankly, I think it's bullshit. I'm not gonna sit here and bash others for what they believe in or whatever, because I'm not like that, especially with people I don't really know. But, yeah I don't believe any of it.
Same sex marrage: GO FOR IT! People are people, you can't help who you're attracted to or who you develop feelings for. The way I see it is, if people were only meant to fall in love with people of opposite sex, then that's how it would be but it's not.. =) There's not really anything different between two people of the same sex who are in love, to a couple of opposite sexes who are in love.
Depression/Self-Injury: Depression, I know what this is like first hand. I know how hard it can get, I know how hard the fight is to get yourself back out of it. I wouldn't wish it on anybody, not even my worst enemy. It's a horrible thing and I sympathise with anybody who's going through it. Self-Injury, I hate every aspect of it. I find it all very hard to get my head around, but maybe thats just because I've never done it, never felt the need to. I just think that there's so many other ways to sort out your problems without having to injure yourself. Though, the people who do it simply for attention or to look cool, really annoy the shit out of me. There is really no need.
