...Forgive me. It's normally not in my nature to delve, but...I had to say something, after reading this and keeping so silent on the matter.
Mary--Well, I really don't know why you did what you did. I believe I'm in no place to judge you. But Mary has grown out of her anger and her hatred, it seems. It just shows that she cannot stay angry with you for long, no matter how much she comes to me.

For whatever reason you were hoping to stir anger in her, it certainly didn't work very well. She still holds you in high regards, speaks very fondly of you--after all that has happened.
I don't understand why you would want Mary to be angry with you. Please tell me why you would want my daughter to be angry with you.
