we were born for battle!!

My american gov't teacher told our class awhile back to watch one of the beheadings that are going on in the middle east. He said it would pretty much change anybody's mind who thinks, "This is not the US's business to be over there", or "We need to be more worried about our country ( Read more... )

I haven't seen one but I dont think I would want to see one. Maybe on a sci-fi movie or something but not a real life situation.

I am in the exact same situation as you are, being raised in with republican views.
I usually dont like talking about my political beliefs because no matter what, someone will turn whatever you say around completely against you. It's like everyone fights for the last word. But I agree it'd be interesting to see what people our age think, I'm up for it!
I can't even donate blood--how the heck could I ever watch a beheading.

it took a while for me to register that it was not a movie, and indeed a real person dead.

Yeah the beheading is sick but it doesn't change my views on the war. I mean yeah it's sad and I'm really sorry that it had to happen to someone espically one of our boys, but those men had nothing to do with the war on terror or G-Dub. They're just normal people over there trying to make a buck for their families. And you said it yourself. It's like a mini holocaust, and that's why it's so important for us to try and stop that. Some will say that they're only doing it because we have american troops over there...We'll thats not true, those people are sick fucks and the people being oppressed by them need to be liberated. IF it wasn't one of our boys, it would have been one of theirs. And as for the people that say we're only over there for oil or that bush is only doing it for his daddy. That's bullshit. You people are just anti-establishment and you wouldn't like it any better if anyone else was in the White House. I know that Bush has made some mistakes in his presidency but i don't know why suddenly it's ok for Teenagers ( ... )

I know i'm sick of the political incorrectness in the media today. If the news were any more liberal it would be illegal. How come they can't show america the pictures of the children murdered in russia or the several other beheadings done every other day in that god forsaken place. why do they call them chechyan rebels why not muslim pussy's who kill children. Then there's kerry a dick who barely graduated out of yale with a low c average and became a gigolo when he married that thing he calls a wife for the money left to her buy her late husband. The man's life is a complete lie from his time as a cook in Vietnam all the way to today, he can't even decide whether he wants soup or salad let alone war or no war. He also thinks that the U.S. needs allies, thats bull our first and probably one of our greatest presidents Washington first introduced America's concept of secularism (no foriegn policy it sucks!)over 200 years ago and a trivia tip for you history buffs out there the the first president to break that was Thomas Jefferson ( ... )

We can talk the smack all day about Kerry but BUSH has some MAJOR dirt on his hands. Go see Fahrenheit 9/11.It may mostly be bullshit satire but some things cant be fake with the evidence he provides in the movie. Bush had DIRECT ties to the Bin Laden family for oil and let them leave the states the day after 9/11 (the only plane to take off that day) and destroyed the evidence...or so he thought. But the film is by Michael Moore MORON! (tee hee) and thats not too comforting. Its up for you to see what you believe
Theres more crazy stuff like that, you just have to go see it. Call me a hipocrite or whatever you want, I just know that no politician is what they seem. I will still most likely vote for Bush.

Cheney has had secret meetings with high end executives, in which the executives want to try and get rid of major pollution laws for businesses, just so they can save money.

You have to weigh out the negative and the positive and see who has more. I think you know the right decision Daniel.

P.S. Michael Moore is a complete idiot. His only intelligence is making that movie in the first place, knowing that the American public believes almost anything they see on TV or in the movies.
