That took longer than I thought.
I can't believe it has been right at 100 days since I have posted an update. I kinda feel bad, but at least I did announce a hiatus - even though I admit to taking advantage of it just a bit. There have been so many times I have wanted to just jump in with a random post, mostly about TV squeeage, but talked myself down. That and time constraints are much tighter. But for the most part I at least try to read my flist every day.
Other than a ton of personal stuff, nothing much has changed with me. My spare time is still immersed with TV geekery (and how glorious THAT has been these last few months - BSG!, LOST!, SPN! - that I'm all but imploding with squee) and reading QAF fanfic. Reading and playing computer games keep me up into the wee hours as usual, so on the spare time track I'm staying quite busy. As I said there is quite a bit of changes kids and stuff but that is for another day's post, this was meant to be much shorter as it is and I haven't even talked about the new job stuff yet. (I'm still unable to do the short and sweet. Some things never change.)
The new work is doing great (My boss of 10 years opened his own auto body shop). I'm busier than I've ever been with tons more to do every day but we are all so much happier than we were at the dealership. And we are already doing quite great if I do say so myself. We are much busier than we even thought we would be after being in business only 2 months. I have been learning more and more about Quickbooks every day and just all of the added paperwork associated with being the soul person doing all of the payables and receivables - on top of my old job it has all been an adjustment to be sure. But I love it. And although I am much shorter on spare time to kick around LJ during the day I hope everyone understands that although I won't be posting much or even commenting like I used to that I am still here and still read everything on my flist my time allows.
So yeah. Just kicking along. Busier than usual but overall pretty satisfied with how things are at the moment. I'm still adjusting and feel a bit misplaced on some things but it is working itself out. I just wanted to tell everyone how things were going and to let you know that I'm officially off my hiatus. But I'm still working out all the kinks. More to come soon-ish. I hope.
