Today the most insane thing ever happened. The guy that sold me my piano called me and said they were looking for a "young enthusiastic piano teacher" to head the brook mays music department. my hours would be insane (5pm-8pm mon-fri, 8am-1pm saturday) and he said i could be making more than double what i make here at my dad's office working 40 ( Read more... )

I totally think you should go for it! I'd think your Dad would be able to understand what a great opportunity this would be for you- and that you would be able to do something you enjoy to earn a living... Do it!!

yeah, i'm totally going to do it! i have my second interview monday, where I have to play for people from the Yamaha school to make sure I'm good enough :x yikes!!! I'm going with moonlight sonata (i've played it since i was 15) and mozart's rondo alla turca. i'm 2 years out of practice, but it's like riding a bike.. you never really lose it.
