[Question for Americans]

Just a quick question for American members; Do you have/celebrate Bonfire Night on November 5th? I am under the impression that you don't because it's a British Historical thing but I was just wondering :)

well, although Guy Fawkes and his 12 merry conspiritors are often shown wearing hats similar to the above, It is in fact a representation of the Pilgrim's hat, used to signify the next holiday on the American calendar, Thanksgiving.

Ahh, nah, ours is all about the time Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of parliament 400 years ago XD So we basically burn a fake 'Guy' on a large bonfire and have fireworks ... it's quite greusome when you hink about it :p

haha, I just found this place from your journal! haha, I've always wanted to celebrate bonfire night! most people don't celebrate it, though I've heard of camps lighting fires on 5th Nov to acknowledge it... sounds like fun. =P
