Sorry to not have posted, but I've been doing a fair amount of writing here recently, in which I am dissecting the current issues dealing with oil, sustainability, energy in general, and where do we as a people go from here.

I have started off by giving the history of energy in the world, and posting it to my journal in roughly 1,600 word installments, and am just now to the 1900's.

I too miss Stacey and Val, and although I believe I have pieced together a decent idea of what happened, I may be wrong, and thus will not spread rumours.

My own edification, and to inform my friends who are interested in these topics.

Mostly because in order to full formulate an idea so that others can understand it, I have to either write it out or illustrate it via sketches. So, although I have done a lot of reading and research on various related topics, I find it difficult to explain what I know unless it is written down. Yes, I am strage. ;-)

And FYI, I am writing from a U.S. centric point of view, not because I feel other parts of the world are of lesser value, but because 1- Being from the US, it is what I know, and 2 - being the largest economy and user of fuel, what we do affects the rest of the world as it relates to energy.

Cripes, all this work just for your own fun! With the amount of work you're putting into it, you should consider formatting it all once you've finished so you can present your findings to any corporate/journalistic powers that may be interested.
