I made another visit to the University of Winnipeg today, dining at Dessert Sinsations at Dr. Kunstatter's expense. We discussed our paper (which looks like it is slowly moving out of development hell), and I figured out that a particularly difficult differential equation could be solved by Frobenius methods (so yay).

A number of billboards have recently informed me that the the world is set to end this Saturday, at 6:00 PM (though they do not specify the time zone; if I had to guess, I would say that the originator of this theory is unaware that the Earth even has different time zones).
