Congratulations to Washington D.C. (the city, not the federal government) and Mexico City (the city, not the federal government) for making same-sex marriage legal! I suppose the message is an inch at a time.

I will be out of town from December 25th to December 30th. I will be visiting my family in Missouri. My uncle recently was in the hospital and has now been placed in a care facility for a few weeks. Today was the first day of Fall. I am aware that the equinox was a few weeks ago. Today, with its crisp air and overcast morning was truly the start of Fall for me. Happiness.
