Closed, open, closed, and open again. He was blinking so slowly that Patrick could feel his eyelashes brush against his chest. “Good morning,” he said softly, bending at an odd angle to kiss his head.
A small grunt was the younger man’s reply before he began to wiggle and squirm his way up, nose now pressed into Patrick’s neck. “Mning,” was his next vocal expression and Pat chose to interpret that as “morning.”
“Sleep well?” Sebastien nodded his head, letting out a yawn. That seemed to be the end of the conversation and they both just basked in the silence. For a moment at least.
“You smell like Doritos.” Well, alrighty then.
“Huh?” Patrick propped himself onto his elbows and gave Seb the “who’s medication did you take this time” look.
“You. Smell. Like. Doritos.” He repeated again, moving his head down and sniff at Pat’s collar. “And peanut butter. And soap.”
“But I haven’t ea-“
“And cologne.” He looked up at Patrick with smiling eyes. Pat just stared at him.
“Bu-“
“And beer.”
“Well, I had beer last night bu-“
“And fries.”
“Sebas-“
“Right Guard, tuna-“
“Hey!”
“And a Big Mac. You smell like a Big Mac!”
“Seb, I couldn’t possibly smell like all of those things.”
“But you can. Cause you smell like Patrick, a mixture of all of my favorite things.” He plastered a silly smile on his face and Pat looked at him oddly.
“You make no sense.” Patrick shook his head and kissed Sebastien’s temple, squeezing his sides.
Seb stuck out his tongue. “At least I don’t smell like tuna.”
