OK when you sign in, Go to the "Manage" tab to where it highlights and then click the "info" part. then Scroll down a little ways and it has an option for "who can read my journal" and choose friends only instead of everyone which is what it is on now. If you have any trouble give me a call. SMILE :)
but i cant find anywhere on that page where it says who can read my journal i see who can reply and who can view my personal info (like email and im address) but not anything about who can read my journal...?
Ok I just spent a bit of time looking at what i believe are all the options and I can't figure a way. So sorry, if i do come up with something i will let you know. SMILE :)
Friends-only Solution....heavensfalconMay 6 2006, 13:14:53 UTC
Yeah, the friends-only option is not there, but you need to do something else.
You need to individually go back to each and every entry yourself. That can't be helped. For future entries, go to the admin console (http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/), while logged in, and type "set newpost_minsecurity [level]"
In the level box(take out level and replace), type one of the following friends, private or public. Obviously, type friends for Friends-Only, private for Private, and public for Public.
Oh yeah, and if you want to, create your own Friends-only banner and post that as your public post...

Ok, an addendum(sp?)...
you must type in the Admin console
set newpost_min security [level]
and, omitting the level and it's surrounding brackets, type in place of that: friends, public, or private. It is the minimum security level...if you want the min to be friends, then no one can read it without being a mutual friend...hence, your Friends-only journal...
As for what you should type, if you're still wondering, type:
