I'm glad I haven't worked in the mall for a long time. I found out today that a man was shot in the parking lot of Square One. He was shot twice in the face and was pronounced dead as he arrived at the Trillium Hospital. WHAT THE FUCK? I can't believe the number of gun related incidents that have been there over the past few years. I remember one ( Read more... )

i don't wanna sound like a bigot but i blame alot, if not most of it on HIP HIP culture and music. Its just way to cool to carry a gun and shoot someone in the name of respect, especially when your listening to guys like G-unit and 50 cent proclaiming how tuff of an asshole he is cause he was shot nine times, first off what kind of gun fighter can't get the job done in 9 shots... thats a whole clip of a 9mm, its because there to worried looking cool shooting the damn thing that they can never hit on target.

i agree, if you have to throw down use the fist to cuff route thats the true way to go. i work at Hurontario and Dundas and i heard about it threw people coming through the shop. i was born and raised in mississauga. i was hanging out at square one since i was 10 or something... let me just say life has change... ALOT!!

K, you work like.. right where I live! literally 2 minutes away. I'd say where but I don't wanna post here. I should visit you one day. Are you at a tatoo shop? I have more to say about your comments but at the moment I have a wicked sore throat and I've gotta get some tea so I'll write again in a bit :)

All the gun violence is because everyone is scared. Scared of the guns, scared of the gangs, scared of the cops, scared of getting a good ol' fashioned ass-whuppin'... While I like guns, You only need one if someone else has one. Not if they looked at your girlfriend, or made fun of your clothes. Damn. Pussies. The guy who did the shooting was the most scared of all. This whole mentality is explained quite well in "Bowling for Columbine", although Michael Moore said it wasn't a problem in Canada. Well...it wasn't, but the american media saturation is so high here now. Even our own news networks have to adopt this "keep the people afraid" mentality just to compete ratings-wise with the US networks. All I know is I'm glad I have a kevlar vest in my car.

I'm glad you have one too. What I'm more glad about though, is that you're a man and would fight like man during confrontation. I think the fact that you show that to everyone too, makes them scared of you and respect you enough to not even get involved with shit with you.

I'm glad you weren't there too! I feel for you kids in the mall. Especially since there are so many punks in and out of HMV on a daily basis. I've even seen fights start in the store during the time that I worked there. It makes me so sad that you have to be scared to go to work :( I really hope all this bad energy clears from the air soon.
