Mummy so cute

Aug 09, 2005 14:50

I just tried to call my mummy at work. She wasn't available because she was "practicing a puppet show in the office" !?! Ha! I often forget the fun little things that are included when one is a Librarian. I used to love going to work with her cuz I'd just get to play in the craft room. Mmmmm sweet delicious craft room... with more free stationary ( Read more... )

You DO know that "practicing a puppet show in the office" is librarian code for "having a pre-noon cocktail under her desk"...

lmao, knowing the ladies that work with her, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. I was invited out by one of them to go to a gay bar, drink martini's and smoke a doobie. Librarians Rule.

You have no idea how 'healthy' my love is! :) As for PK's, they don't need me yet. It was all dependant on whether or not one of their current employees could pull up her socks or not. I guess she did. I havn't called them either, since I've been so sick. If they asked me to come in, I would have had to decline. Another reason I havn't called is because I have another potential job in the works, and I want to keep myself open until I find out if I've got it or not. If I don't end up getting it, I'll call Pk's again cuz I know they like my resume and they know who I am etc.. I'm sure I can edge someone out if I need to. I'll keep you posted :)

When I was in junior high/high school, I'd go nuts at back-to-school time, buying tons of pens and paper and all sorts of accessories that I would then promptly forget about for the rest of the year. Free access to stationery supplies had better be in my career future, or someone will pay! Just not me!

Also, who needs to be a librarian to have a puppet show? We could have one anytime, then sell it on the internet via sexy ads that have very little to do with its actual content.

I'm very pleased with the supply closet here at HSBC. Not only do they have every office supply you can imagine, they even have a cupboard FULL of cd-r spindles (50 packs) and a whole shelf devoted to stocking kleenex.
.....KLEENEX!
