I'm not gonna lie to you...

My hair is AWESOME :) No, I don't have pictures yet. I tried to take a couple tonight but I don't have appropriate lighting to show off the crazy fluorescence of the main colour, nor to highlight the very mildly contrasting colour of my bangs. Also, I have insufficient battery power. However, for those of you interested, this is what I did. I CUT ( Read more... )

I gasped as my heart skipped a beat when I read the words CUT MY HAIR.

But then you reassured me that all the glorious length is still there. *phew*

Your hair must look amazing!!!! I'm a huge ass fan of layers and have always thought your hair would look wicked with them, so I am glad that you took that leap.

As for job stuff, I would still solidly stand behind my 'move to Alberta because there are way more jobs than people to fill them'; but I have since changed that recommendation (modest condos are now selling for $250 000+, rental space is non existent, and 2 bedroom wartime bungalows are easily $350-400 000). Housing is just too ridiculous out here. However, Matt could easily work the oilsands and take home 6 figures, and most other jobs you might be interested in start at $20/hr. But I know moving here isn't an option no matter how plentiful and well paying the jobs.

Chef Woo is the devil disguised as yummy tasting goodness.

What super outdoor goodness are you engaging in this weekend????

We went camping at Sibbald Point. It was fun. All except for when I set Rob on fire with a flaming marshmallow. I will forever feel like a jackass for doing so. I will also be writing to Baileys to tell them that their marshmallow dunk idea is NOT safe!!! hehe. It was fucking COLD too. Most people left Saturday morning which kinda sucked but Rob and Carolyn stayed the next night with us. We watched Iron Chef on Rob's lap top at night. How un-campy can we be!?! I'd like to go camping with you one day. What's camping like in the summer in Alberta? Will we get killed by bears? We had a "visit" from raccoons on Friday night as some food had been left out. I never knew they made such awful noises. When they came to our tent Matt and I kicked from the inside and hissed at them. Scary! :)

Anyway, I'm craving healthy veg food so I'm gonna go to the store soon. I'm gonna make your veggie tofu burger recipe and I have lots of bananas so I'm gonna make these banana health cookies. If they turn out well, I'll send you the recipe.

It sounds like you guys had a kick ass weekend. Too bad people wussed out after one night though :( I'm glad Rob did not suffer 3rd degree burns or anything like that and agree that Bailey's should be informed of the hazards that go along with their delicious seeming marshmallow idea ( ... )

You're more fabulous than I can imagine!!! SO THERE. I work with this guy now who reminds me SO MUCH of you. But because it's not you, it doesn't feel right to befriend him so much. It's almost like he's an impostor. I think somewhere deep down I secretly despise him for being a poor replacement, but yet I feel I need him. Curious
