I was going OMG when I read the bit about the kid. Where did the child spring from and who'd been looking after them.

Right now I'd kill to see the reaction on my face when I felt / saw a kid jump on top of me...

I guess romance and dating is not like in the movies. I already accepted the fact I am going to die alone. At least we have amusing stories to share at cocktail hour.

Oh but I didn't have my period. I "lied" saying I had my period so that I would not have sex on an air mattress...

To be honest I don't see the big deal? (Maybe because I am a guy too.) But if his place is clean, maybe he's just never had reason to buy a better bed? Maybe his ex[es] never cared. Maybe it's easier on his back to be on the floor. *shrug* Why did you stay the night anyways then? Obviously you liked him? (Furniture aside at least up until his kid shocked you. And rightfully so there!)

I stayed the night because it was late and the buses weren't running and I wasn't going to call for a cab and waste $30 to get home. Or call for a friend at 1 am to get me. I could have walked home but I was like on the extreme southside of Edmonton. If I was on Whyte Ave or downtown, I would just have walked home.
