Amandas post and some of the responses to it has got me thinking about how we tend to judge someones supposed 'baggage' from our own perspective. A fairly recent occurrence first got me pondering on the subject

I think it partly depends on how you perceive 'baggage'. I tend to think of it as feelings and behaviours that people should have dealt with, over events long in the past, that affect their lives negatively. For example, a friend's mother I recall from childhood had been left by her husband 4 years previously and bitched about him constantly, blaming him for everything bad that had happened to her. She did this the whole 10+ years that I knew her and never seemed to let go or move on

Yeah there certainly is a difference between pushing it in someones face and an inquisition lite. It's just a bit of a balancing act. I don't want to offend and frankly Tassie's a bit small, so I do find that I censor myself here more than I ever have.
