About The Couple
7. How did you meet?: we met at a party, actually, through some mutual friends. we spent most of the evening together but didn't exchange numbers. talented, i know. but our friend Ace linked me to his myspace and we got together shortly after. we spent lots of time being friends before starting to date.
8. What is the sweetest thing your s/o has done for you?: oh goodness, just one thing? well, the proposal was pretty sweet. i'd just gotten home from 10 days in Chicago and he made me Chicken Marsalla (from scratch) and then blindfolded me and took me into our room. there were rose petals all over the floor and the bed and candles on the floor, the dresser and the bed side table. he said "there's one for every day we've been together. there's just one thing missing..." he turned me around and said "will you marry me?" and presented me with the ring i'd fallen in love with months ago.
9. Tell us a funny story involving both of you: there's an awful lot, but i wonder if they're only funny to us. haha well, let's see... here's something from my lj. "we tried to find a normal movie to play drinking games with but ended up watching the single most cheesy porn ever - Kinky Kong. i couldn't make that up. it was classic cinemax porn, complete with a scene where we saw the guy's underwear. oops. Kinky Kong was a man in a halloween store style gorilla costume with barbie dolls in his hands when he was supposed to have picked up the porn actresses. it was the kind of funny that makes you laugh until you cry. or shoot beer out of your nose."
10. What was the most special date you've had together? a really wonderful one we had was actually in the afternoon. it was when he lived in Pittsburgh. i got to town and he told me he had a surprize for late lunch. then he drove me to The Cheesecake Factory. it was so adorable and wonderful. we started a "date night" tradition when we first got together, but we havne't been able to do it much lately. bills have been kicking our asses. :(
11. What made you realize that you were in love? again i say, just one thing? i could go on forever. i knew i was in love because of the way he looked at me. especially when he was looking at me and he didn't think i noticed, you know? the way i felt when he did that was unlike anything i'd ever known and i knew that was it.
12. Do you two see marriage in the future? ofcourse.
13. Tell us about an issue you both feel strongly about (this can be anything): anything? i'd have to say gay marriage right now. it really bothers me that people feel the need to make such a big deal about it as if it's such a terrible thing. no one's getting hurt and it shouldn't be anyone else's business. i honestly think the government is making a huge deal to distract from the war, but you'll have that. but yeah, i think it should be legal and i don't think it should even be an issue.
14. What's the best and worst thing about being a couple? there are a thousand good things and only a few bad things. sometimes it's really stressful and i hate fighting, but it's worth it to stick through it. i don't know what i'd do without him.
15. Have you met each others family? yes. our whole families, even. and, ofcourse, my family loves him and his loves me.
