I've never really lost a close friend before, I've lost a ton of relatives but they were all old and sick and it was a slow process that I saw coming

i hate losing touch with friends. tonight i was walking around my neighborhood as it rained. and i thought about knocking on my old friends' doors. some of us haven't talked in close to seven or eight years... good friends. people i grew up with. wonder what they're up to. whether they're even home. married, engaged, or lonely and drinking themselves away like myself... one of these days we'll look back on this and laugh... always seemed like a fun proposition. but now its more of looking back and missing the times we had, crying and taking another drag or another sip.

You should knock on their doors dude. Cause when you find out one of them died while you're at a supermarket you might regret that you didn't. If i were you I'd get in touch with them.
