Today was the funeral. I was very scared to go because I wasn't sure how I was going to react. I hate crying infront of people, and I had to hold back ALOT today. I'm most likely going ot let it all out now ( Read more... )

Reading this brought tears to my eyes and I really am sorry that you had to go through that. Then when i read back to your older entry about you walking into the lamp and it just made me think about the simple joys and all the laughs and I just wanted you to know that i was thinking about you and I'm sorry about your loss.
(p.s. that made no sense but i think you know what i meant..)

Darci,
I stumbled across you journal and read this whole entry. I know you don't know me but I think we have a lot of mutual friends. Actually I believe you know my sister, Allie Gibbs. Well I'm Katie, and I just wanted you to know how much this entry touched me. I am so sorry for your loss. My cousin died around Christmas time from A-plastic anemia. She was only 20. It really wasn't preventable but you still have to ask yourself, why did God let this happen to such a young, promising life? I didn't know her that well but it was just so overwhelming to realize how precious life really is. I hope that your family is receiving a lot of support and can come together at such a tough time. Hey Katie,
I've met you before, through Allie at football games and also at school. Thank you very much for that post. It really meant alot from me, and it was very sweet of you. I am so sorry about your cousin that you lost around Christmas time. Unfortunately I know how hard it is, and I hope things are better now. I'm truly sorry for that loss though. This situation really did make me think alot, and put alot into perspective.
