Glorious approach for Sirius to breach the topic of homosexuality with Remus, thank the gods on Olympus for paederasty, lol. Wonderful accounts of the classics, as a Classics major, I was over the moon to actually see someone get the myths right, although I would have loved to see what Sirius' reaction would be to the most conventional account of how Odysseus found Achilles *cough*dragqueen*cough*. Can't wait to see the next chapter.

Thanks so much! I'm so glad I got the myths right. I mean, I did a lot of research, but I was so afraid I'd get something wrong...

Anyway, that dragqueen thing would have been funny...to tell the truth I didn't even think about that when I was writing it. If I had, I would've tried to find a way to work it in. :)

The paederasty thing though--that's what really sparked the inspiration for this fic. The whole institutionalized homosexuality in those days was fascinating, I think.

Gods, paederasty, probably the best topic a Classics major can dabble in for their senior thesis. Have you ever seen the vases from antiquity, absolute porn! That would be a fantastic idea, have Remus inadvertently show Sirius vases that depict the myths, and just Sirius's luck, it's a porny scene from Plato's Symposium.

And kudos to you for doing the research, there's nothing more annoying than someone assuming they know the myths when all they know is what they hear through ill-informed friends.
