Not to say that I'm not enjoying this story, because I am, but I'm still a bit disappointed to see this cliche brought out. It seems like every story dealing with runaways has to have a sexual predator hanging out on the street corner waiting for the under-ages to get more than fifteen feet away from their house. I do realize that minors on their own are vulnerable to being exploited and abused, but it does get old after a bit.

Anyway, I'm very much enjoying your portrayal of Sirius' fucked-up life at home. You do a very good job getting across the increasingly desperate stifled helplessness of Sirius' position -- even if he wouldn't ever admit to anything so soppy, the kid is starving for affection, approval, and just general attention that doesn't come laced with scorn and criticism. Even putting the physical attraction aside, you make it seem perfectly natural that he'd be drawn to Remus from the start.

To tell you the truth, I haven't really read any other fic with a runaway getting raped...not to say that Sirius gets raped (you don't know for sure yet, do you?). But I see why it'd be a cliche. Maybe I'll rewrite this section later. I didn't actually plan on Will. He just sort of turned up. The constraints for this part of the story was Sirius running away and...well, something I can't tell you yet. But the middle part was kind of muddy and Will just seemed like a good idea at the time. Oh well.

And thanks for the other comments. I really worked hard on the chemistry between Remus and Sirius and I'm glad it comes across.

Oh. Em. Gee. You are amazing. This was so...gah! I'm so happy Sirius finally ran away, but then me met Will and had to drink the butterbeer and is now being seriously molested!!!

*sigh* If only Remus were with him to say, "Hey, maybe you shouldn't accept questionable food and/or drink from a creepy, lonely man who's obviously a pedophile. There's a good lad."

I hope that Remus saves Sirius or something. You know, bursting through the door just as Will whips it out. Then, after delivering a serious beat down on the Creepiest Man Ever, he would whisk the unconscious sirius away to a secret cottage where, once Sirius woke up, they would make sweet love.

...why does everything I dream up for this fic end with "and then they make sweet love"?

Hehe...well, I can't promise that Sirius will be whisked off to a secret cottage where they'll make sweet love. But I can promise...oh wait, no I can't. I guess you'll just have to wait to find out, then. ;)

And as for the last question, we all want the pups to make sweet love. Me, especially.
