Hmm, so the owner of my flat sent someone over to value the property without letting us know. I'm glad i didn't let the fucker in, yay for not answering the door, ever. I hope they charge the botch for wasting their time

Shouldn't take very long; it's a look round, see what the house is like. And inside things cleanliness shouldn't affect the value of the house unless it's things like mould everywhere that's going to affect the structural integrity/mean the kitchen needs refitting. Half an hour maybe?

Only reason for detailed cleaning would be if your landlord accompanied, but they should tell you really if they're inspecting at the same time. Our landlord remortgaged not long ago too - don't blame them at the moment.
