Tutorial #04 - Seth is a wrapping!geek

Here's a tutorial requested by cecesfurtdauter, because she wanted to know how I did the coloring for these OC Chrismukkah icons. Unfortunately, I didn't know of the wonders of saving icons as .PSD files, so I tried to recreate the coloring as best I could. It came out a little bit redder/pink than I would've preferred, but it's still close enough. Enjoy!

It's funny how different our approaches to icon making are. Everything you've described here seems to have a purpose. I just attack things with Photoshop and hope for the best =) My artwork happens quite by accident. Great tutorial, by the way. Very easy to follow, straight forward and informative *nods* & I love the gradient you've used.

I just attack things with Photoshop and hope for the best. lmao. see the problem with my "method" is that once I find something that works, I generally tend to stick to it for awhile. I couldn't get out of this pattern for the longest time and now I'm finally experimenting and it feels great! (well...that doesn't sound wrong *shifts eyes* jk jk).

*giggles* I didn't pick up on the wrongness of that until you pointed it out. But really, I have no choice other than to experiment. Sometimes I find a style I like & I want to stick with it and develop it, but I can't because I can't remember how I did it. It's very silly but I guess it means I get to do lots of different stuff (the icons I'm making at the moment look different... and I've used more than one font *hurrah!*).
