This is only meant for randoms who are contacts from LJ communities. It's only meant to be the opportunity for you to tell me you dont' read my entries so I can delete you. I have deleted people that I have no interest in reading about - I'm asking you to notify me if you feel the same way.

Yeah I don't play the "comment or I'll threaten you and cut you" game. So in that case it's a cut? Why so manipulative? Cut if you want to, but to assume someone doesn't have "decency" because they don't? That's a bit over the top. Besides, this isn't just your stage. It's the internet and you seem confused about what Web 2.0 is all about which a blog is a part of. It's someone walking down a street and there is one stage after another lined up to infinity and as they walk by they may comment or just read and learn. It isn't personal and it certainly isn't just about you. It's more about how much time people have and what speaks to them that day.

Oh, and for the record, I never said people HAD to comment. It was whether people READ or not. If they dont read, they can bugger off. If they do read and don't comment, then they can stay. Why would I want people on my list who aren't even going to read my entries?

And if this was a "blog", as you say... it wouldn't be private.

It's a journal, not a blog.

But whatever.

If it were just a journal and not a blog as you said, the interaction wouldn't matter and lack of comments wouldn't make you assume no one was reading it. If it's just a journal and not a blog it doesn't matter who reads it, so you're contradicting yourself. A journal is on paper. A blog is on the internet. Security settings hardly matter. So long as it isn't just for you or a private email, it is a blog. Anything posted online is archived for all time.

Since it's a private journal and there's no element of narcissism, ego, or self, you won't need to insult people who don't behave as you desire or give you what you want the second you ask for it.

Cazzy, I think you know my reasons for not leaving a "OMG please keep me!!" comment here (and if you don't, shame on YOU for not reading MINE! :p), but know that I do read everything you post when you take the time to write.

I also think you should review making a sweeping decision of cutting anyone and everyone who doesn't answer this post as that also reflects on your attitudes towards your friendships.

You're taking this the wrong way.

It's only for people that I don't know that well - If you're my friend and you don't comment, I really don't care if you don't comment. But if there are people on my list who don't even read my entries, then I don't care if they stay or go.

I don't think that really reflecs my attitude towards my friends, considering half the people on my list wouldn't give a stuff if I fell off a cliff and died.

I forgot to say "this doesnt include certain people".

Oh well. I'm sure the 'certain' people will figure it out when they are still on my list even though they didn't comment.

i know how you feel. i barely bother to post anymore cause i almsot never get comments so i feel like no one reads it and there's no point in telling people things if no one cares to listen. i'd rather just go talk to someone i know will listen.

It's not about the comments, I just dont want people on my list who don't even bother to read. I've deleted people from my list who I don't read... Just because I have no interest to read. I was just asking if other people feel the same towards me - giving them an opportunity to do the same.
