My sentiments exactly. He was so amazing, and he died so young. The poem he wrote above, I found for sale - $4,000. I don't think he could have ever dreamed in his wildest fantasies that being linked to the Beatles would make anything her merely touched worth $4,000. It's a little sad that he couldn't just be recognized in his own right, and not by association.
My thoughts exactly. What a marvelous man. His artwork was exhibited in D.C. years ago when I was a virgin Beatles fan. Now I'm kicking myself because I didn't take full advantage. Love you, Stuart.
Oh my God.... you're so lucky to at least haven been so close to his artwork. I have only seen one of his pieces, in person. It was past midnight at the Hard Rock Cafe, and the place was practically closed, but my girlfriends and I snuck upstairs to look at the Beatle exhibit. There on the wall next to the Abbey Road doors.... was a large charcoal sketch of a person, drawn by Stuart. And I stood there in utter disbelief, staring at it. I touched the glass frame - I was so close I could have kissed it. It was so amazing because this was something STUART SUTCLIFFE had drawn, something he touched, something he made. I can't begin to explain my admiration for him.
I think that he was one of the most beautiful, talented people who ever lived. He accomplished and lived more in his short years than most people do in a lifetime. Cheers to Stuart!
