I'm here at Kneaded Pleasures again, trying to write another paper... and it's going absolutely nowhere because I am totally distracted and now obsessed with planning my wedding. Obsessed may be a little too strong of a word - it's just that I REALLY would like to book a venue within the week so we can move forward with invitations and gift ( Read more... )

Congrats!!

I don't know much about two of the places on your list, but I think Krystal got married at the Caswell House. And Texas Old Town is, like, a mile from my house. It's nice, and there's a lot of open space that would be great for pictures.

thank you :)

How was Caswell house??? I've driven by there a million times... And that old town place is kind of a little too country for me, but could be okay <3

Not sure. ^^; While everyone was at the wedding, I was at the reception hall helping with the cake and getting things ready for the reception.

oh yeah??? She had lovely pictures... I'm just worried that place might be a LITTLE too country for me - but it's plenty big. You're gonna come, right???

It was an awesome venue and absolutely PERFECT for Leith and Paul, but to be completely honest, I agree that it is probably a little too country for you. Green Pastures is gorgeous for weddings, but I'd also be willing to bet that it's probably a FORTUNE. Good luck with the search! I believe that Amanda is trying to find a place in Austin as well, so maybe you two could collaborate?

Do you have a date yet? I see no reason why I wouldn't be able to come. :)

Well I think it's as country as you make it. There will be no cowboy motif by any means. I mean, it may not be exactly what you think of when you think of me and Travis, but I don't see why we couldn't have a perfectly lovely wedding there. It's our number one choice right now -and if we have it there, it'll be friday jan 4th. mark your calendar for reals.

Lots of cool places. Tim's band has played at many a wedding venue, so if you run out of ideas, holler and we'll start throwing some more ideas out :)

I was so happy to see you on Sunday :) Glad things are fun!

awesome - well if you know of any that aren't outrageously expensive, I'd love more suggestions. Our budget is pretty minimal... we can't afford to do catering.

It was good to see you too. I only got lectured by 2 people for my absenteeism.

Wow. I'm so excited. And SO happy for you. Like...really. We still need to get together. Today was my last day at work so I'll try to give you a call and see when the next time is that you aren't busy. >.>
