Warning: High Levels of Stress and Anxiety

Life really sucks right now. It seems impossible for me to do anything right. I can't even remember the last time I felt good about something. I'm failing at school, YMP, and Seussical. Wow, and now I sound emo. Too bad, I feel shitty. UUUUGGGHHHHH! Anyone have a suggestion to help me cheer up? Right now I want to curl up into a ball and disappear ( Read more... )

you've got lots going and it becomes a juggling act. Sometimes you can't do it all well and have to pick 1 or 2 things to do well. Sometimes you have to pick something to let slide.

For starters, stop staying up so late. If you need to do a project and your mom is on the comp, either make her see how important it is... or come up to our Den and use one of our computers, we have three including the laptop. Get more sleep. If you stop running yourself into the ground you'll have more energy and be able to put more effort into things.

Personally, I think you're just trying to do too much at one time. School, YMP, and now Suessical as well... in my opinion that's too much for one 14 year old to juggle. Maybe once Suessical is done you should consider a bit more carefully whether or not you can handle doing anything besides school and YMP.

And whether or not you see it, you do have things to be proud of. You were cast in a big role instead of someone who they've relied on for some time, you have a beautiful voice, and you're intelligent. Even if you can't see it, some of us do... and we're proud of you for it. :)

Seeing as I posted my comment without reading Johno's... maybe you should think about the fact that they say pretty much the same thing.

I agree with both Johno and kitabare, if you are always stressed you should seriously think about taking a break from the tons of stuff you do everyday.
I got a good suggestion, if you ever feel too stressed out, take a break, pick up the phone and give me a call (anytime). I promise I'll make you feel better.

You're not a failure at all, my second daughter. You do need to prioritize, and maybe you are trying to do too much. So be sure to sleep, and EAT. It's not optional. Especially when you're running at full speed with projects. You are gifted in so many ways, and I know you will figure this out and get to a new balance.

*hugs*
