The Greengrasses arrived not long after the party had started. Darius Greengrass was a tall man and kept a stern look on his face. He wasn't much for "holiday cheer" and would much rather keep the dignified nature about him. This allowed him to always be in control and alert. And in the business he was in, there was no room for mistakes ( ... )

Why Daphne, I thought you were chained up somewhere! He said ludicrously.

Gods you look stunning, he spoke with a tinge of lingering hurt, and was already kissing her other cheek by the time he'd finished, as usual.

Happy Christmas, lovely. He gave her a confident grin, and glanced out over the rapidly growing crowd.

Have you sat with Saint Nicolas yet? You really should. Not sure where he is just now.

Daphne grinned. It was nice to know that some things never changed.

"Darling, I believe I'm in just the right company," she purred, placing an affectionate hand on his shoulder.

Turning to face the crowd, she took in the entire scene. The manor was decorated beautifully. Everything was pure class. Just the way the Greengrass women liked it.

"Have you had a drink yet? The selection, I'm sure you know, is wonderful."

Fraid i've not made my way to the bar yet. As Host, i'll be needing to keep my wits about me for at least another half hour once the bulk of the guests have arrived. He gave her what was admittedly a cute grin, which molded slowly into a nasty smirk as his eyes laid upon the corner of the hall. Lucius was pounding his fist against the bar, saying something incoherent.

I suppose one champagne couldn't do too much damage.

Mandy was nervous, which was strange because usually before a party she excited and ready to get there, but this was a whole other thing entirely. She wasn't exactly invited to this party. No she wasnt just randomly showing up crashing, she had an excuse, but she still have a feeling she was probably going to be very out of place.

When her mother first told her about the party at Malfoy Manor she was excited. The Malfoys were of very high standing and who didn't love that, of course it was hard for her, she was a half-blood. Her mother's new boyfriend, aka Daniel's dad was invited and so he was bring along Mandy's mom, and so Mandy is brought along. She hoped that the Slytherin's didn't think ill of her because of her showing up.

She arrived with her mother and Daniel's family via floo and made sure she still looked in tact. She adored her outfit and hoped it wouldn't look too out of place. She smiled at her mother and walked around, hoping to quickly find someone she could strike a conversation up with.Reply

Daphne spotted Mandy as soon as she arrived. The girl stuck out like a sore thumb - so nervous among the poised and elegant. Regardless, she made her way over to her.

"Happy Christmas," Daphne said smoothly, an actual smile on her face. She handed the girl a tall glass of her favorite bubbly. "This always makes it easier to make it through polite conversation."

Mandy smiled a bit at Daphne. She took the champagne and nodded a thanks. It was weird being here. Her mum was enjoying the ability to catch up with her old classmates and she was the only non-Slytherin child here. Normally she would have ran over and hug Draco but she wasn't quite sure how they were yet and well he was busy entertaining his other Slytherin cohorts.

Mandy took a sip, "Thank you. Normally I would have no problem jumping in, but I'm not used to any of this. It's amazing though. I'm glad to see mum enjoying herself though," she said nodding to her mom.

"It is fabulous," Daphne agreed, looking out onto the scene. The Malfoys never failed to impress her. Every year seemed to be bigger and better than the last. Daphne loved the plush velvet bows, floating orbs, and soft music. She never knew anything but grand.

"Its a lot to take it...but it does seem like your mum fits right in. But trust me, don't jump in right away. Its much more fun on the side lines than getting pulled into a conversation you care nothing about."

"Merlin, Draco." Narcissa started, getting a quick glance of her son for the first time of the night.

"Did it cross your mind that perhaps you could have dressed a bit more appropriately for the occasion?" She turned back to the red bow she was straightening.

"You look like a common thief."

His eyes slanted and a slithering appeared in his voice,

I did consider that, Mother. And then I remembered my illustrious plans to get pissed and roll about upon the floor, thought this would be more comfortable to do so in.

He gently spun the red rock on his index finger.

Father will lose me a bet if his dress robes last the entire evening.

Well, these were some excellent cordial cherries if the Dark Lord didn't say so himself.

A glamour had been put over his face, as not all of the guests knew that he was in attendance. In fact, very few of the people in attendance were privy to it. This was his opportunity to chat up his DE's and hear some things they may not say right to his face, but in a whisper at a party.

He was enjoying doing this, deceiving one or two with ease, learning who he would be killing next. However, while mentally writing this list, he was distracted by Lucius' pathetic form slumped over the bar.
How could this be?

Santa suit and all, he sat down next to Lucius and ordered a whiskey on the rocks.

"Not your night, is it?"

"Oh Father Christmas," came slurred from his troubled mouth, "would you give me what I wanted? Could you?"

Out of his mind.

Voldemort leaned back in the stool with some amusement, accepting his drink from the Barkeep Elf before putting his elbows back onto the counter, leaning in close to his companion.

"And what it is you'd like for Christmas, Lucius?"

The glamour on his face had turned him into a handsome man with dark skin, and his tan lips curled upwards in a smirk as he asked.

Some slurring at first, and then at the end,

"..s'why she says, she says she woouldnnever sleept in my bed againen, not in a million years, and if I say what I wanntta say I'd say you owe me every thing! Real piece of work! And i'd say, i'd say piss off, and and, I'd say, go get fucked! And i'd say, id say,"

This continued for a moment before he said outright, and pretty loud at that,

"Why won't you bugger me for Christmas!!"

Pansy was more than pissed at her family's tardiness. She couldn't figure out why her parents had been dragging their feet so hard at leaving for the Malfoys. She had been sitting, waiting, in her gorgeous deep red party gown for approximately 30 full minutes before her mother and father had even emerged from their bedroom. What the fuck..??

"How is it that for once I'm not the last one ready?!" she demanded, knowing fully well that she'd taken her usual amount of time getting ready. But they'd shrugged sheepishly and ignored her mostly.

As she made her big entrance, she was glad that this at least meant everyone would be able to keep all eyes on her. She comforted herself with this fact as they stepped inside the Malfoy Manner, Daphne, Draco, Harper, and even Mandy, already we're mingling with drinks in hand.

First, a pit stop to her future in-laws the Malfoys. "Absolutely stunning," she commented on Narcissa's gown. "Happy Christmas, Lucius," she greeted him fondly. She had always felt a connection to him, and in her mind felt he knew ( ... )
