im may be hopeful, but im not a dreamer, im realistic.
i know this is very unlikely.
but this is just whats going through my head after philosophy.
just take it for what its worth.
if youre going to argue with me about being stupid or trivial

what if we lived in a world wher people just loved eachother? not a love based on what someone could offer you or what they've done but pure, honest, forgiving, unselfish love. what if we cared more about the person beside us than ourselves. what if we lived in a world where people actualy waited and listened when they ask someone how they were that day, where people smile at you when you walk through the halls or down the street. why cant we use our words to bring people up, encourage and care about people instead of constantly cutting them down.
if we lived in a world based on love, the hungry would be fed, the homeless would be given shelter and we wouldnt have to worry about what to do with the criminals..because they wouldnt exist...and if they did...we could forgive.its like i said to val...if we all cared for eachother. we wouldnt have to worry about what to do with the poor man who stole bread for his starving family...because if we cared...he would have had more than enough to eat.
i think we need to stop thinking of ourselves as american, canadian, islamic, jewish and christian when it comes to things like this and start thinking of ourselves as just people. people. if we all existed under the same label...it would become almost easier for us to help others, I think these labels are what gets in the way of helping other people. example, an Islamic man is allowed to beat or kill his wife if he sees fit..because he is islamic...and they allow that. now take away islamic and call him what he is...a man. a man is allowed to beat or kill his wife if he sees fit. because he is a man. doesnt seem right eh?
side note
in a sense i think tolerence has become one of our biggest problems. if we started practising intolerence instead, there would be no child or spousal abuse...because we wouldnt tolerate it. people wouldnt die from curable disease...because we wouldnt tolerate the circumstances that allow that to happen. women in neighboring countries wouldnt be killed or hurt..because we wouldnt tolerate it.
