Tra la la.
So I guess I haven't updated since the camping trip. Let me tell you that it was so much fun. Friday I took the bus down and Jenny picked me up. From there we got V for Vandoli and then had a sleepover at Jenny's house (we could have gone up to the campsite that night but it would have been dark, and difficult to find, and it was supposed to rain that night anyway). We had some fun with Tarot.
But yeah, Angela and I ended up staying awake until probably 3:30 or so, as per usual when we're in the same bed (!!!). The following morning we met the rest of the kids for some breakfast and then we went on a totally cool hike! Really it was so neat!
After that we took a small break and then when wall-climbing! Haha. I was a wimp, but I managed to get to the top and then repel off the side (scary scary!).
By that time we were all sweaty and gross, so we decided to take a dip in Clear Lake, which I unfortunately don't have pictures of. But it was really cool. There was pirate ship and everything!!!
Then we got caught in the rain, which was actually the coolest ever. We waited for like half an hour under a pavillion for the lightning to let up. Angela and Jon entertained us with a very elaborate sword fight/mortal combat battle thing. It was good.
Then for dinner we went to a really good place called Dune Dogs. I loved it but it might have been the cause of Jenny getting sick later that night. :( Oh well, we had fun when we were there.
Then we went back and attempted a campfire and some s'moring. It was difficult because all the firewood was wet! Boo.
That night we decided to sleep in the Mess Hall instead of our soaking wet, ant-infested tents. So after screwing about a bit in a big empty hall, we had a lock-in!! Haha. It was cool, but Jenny got really sick and I waited up for her parents to pick her up. I was so sad that she had to leave!!! But I'm glad she's better now. :)
Anyways, today I was in a good mood. I went on this adventure with my friend Lauren (who is so sweet) to get some free gelato. We somehow ended up taking the bus all the way downtown, running into plenty of crazies along the way. We finally found the place and devoured some sumptious, free gelato and found a bus back to the dorm. I was really happy and everything until I got back to my dorm and realized I still have to write a 3000-word report due Friday. So I've been working on it for a while and now I'm only down by about 300 words and I'm in a much worse mood. So I think I'll head off to take a nap and maybe regain some stamina to write this paper.
