This is going to sound like a stupid question, but who's M.C. Escher? Ugh, how embarrassing.

And dude, the Giant Squid is like my second favorite animal.

the picture you have of the two hands drawing eachother in your collage is a drawing by M.C. Escher. he's an artist. a very, very good artist at that. he does a lot of extremely complex tesselations and his reflects the belief of metamorphosis, how nothing goes away, it changes constantly from form to form. www.mcescher.com has a lot about his work and his life. one of my favorite artists.
