mines named after some boat captain who had a hotel here once. Because my street is on a point, the hotel was called Robert's Point Hotel. The shuffle board courts are still here, along with the original hotel lobby. There was also a bait shop at the end of my street called "Robert's Point Bait Shop and Tackle." Captain Robert also owned this and the rest of the land on this street. He then sold the land piece by piece and made millions of dollars, his gradnson still lives on this street in the hotel lobby (which he has turned in to a house) and owns the lot accross the street. The street is now called Roberts Point Road. In Honor of captain Robert. Apparently you can't have apostrophes (') in street names.
