Ok, I've thought about this subject a lot before I decided I was going to add my two cents. I often have an opinion, but I do not often share it. In this subject, I feel that I have a unique viewpoint, and since that is the case I feel a responsibility to share it ( Read more... )

Drew, we haven't talked in a long time. But I believe one of the first times we did, I mentioned how much your courage inspires me. You are one of the most beautiful women I've ever gotten to know, inside and out. Stay safe. :)

Thank you Beyonce. That means so much to me coming from you. I so miss you in my life. I just haven't made time for people, and for that I am so sorry.

So strong, so beautiful. That's you honey. I love that you are brave enough to tell a story that's obviously a hard story to tell. I'm glad you let other people see what its like from a child's p.o.v and anyone with half a brain would seriously reflect on their actions after hearing this.

Thank you baby. Wow, we always make plans then something happens to one of us. Think we're cursed? *laughs* Should we try again?

Hi, Drew. My name's Claire, as you may know...we've never really met, but I really love you as an actress, and though I don't know you personally, I admire what you've gone through and how strong you have obviously become as a person because of it. I can see through the way you write and by how many people love you that you really are a one-of-a-kind woman, and I admire you and what you have become [as far as I can see] from your experiences, however horrible they may have been...and after reading your post, I'm really glad I am a good guardian, regardless of what some think, and that I do keep an eye on the girl in question, because if she didn't have anyone to look out for her, she may very well have to endure some of the same things you did as a child. Thank you so much for sharing, it was very personal, but I'm glad I could read it...call me up anytime, I'd love to speak to you.

Dazzling Danes

Warmest regards,

Claire Danes

I'm glad you replied Claire, and I have no personal issues with what you or anyone is doing. I'm sure you're a fine guardian. Unfortunately, you seemed to have missed my entire point. It's not about how strict or "good" you are. It's about meshing both points of view, since each are equally valid in their own way. I'm not for one second saying that you are wrong or that I think you've done anything wrong. I just think that people need to be a Hell of a lot more open minded and watchful then they are being. Because, bottom line, you never know what is going to happen.

Feel free to call me as well.
BelovedDrew

Thank you for replying as well, I appreciate it a lot. But honestly, in being a good guardian, this includes not letting her be exposed to such things, you know? I mean, truthfully - not trying to be unnecessarily defensive or anything like that - but Gary's after-premiere party was the only event I have taken her to that had any sort of alcoholoic consumption taking place, and I believe her mother only let me take her because she knew she'd be watched carefully, and it was for Harry Potter...otherwise, I would have taken her home after the premiere, but it was a nice - though fairly rare - treat for her to be in one room with all the music and people and food and everything ( ... )

Drew darling,

I can personally vouch for the excellent character of Miss Claire Danes - she is a close personal friend of mind, and definitely above reproach in all matters. She is a close friend of Dakota's family, and has their full trust.

And I would like to state once again that the party in question was not an industry affair by any means, but a very private one thrown by myself.....

I would be more than happy to introduce you two lovely ladies to one another - it would be an honour.

Uncle Gary
