new kittah!

So, Ann and I have been talking about getting a second kitty to keep Zipper company... so for the past week or so, we've been spending a lot of time at the local SPCA in a room full of kittens. Like we did with Zipper, we like to give it a little time for the kitties to get used to us, and let their personalities come out. Anyway, after much ( Read more... )

He's so cute! I can't wait to see lots of cat antics the next time we're around.

And white-blond hair and blue eyes? Didn't Ann and I once know a couple of fellows matching that description...? (I couldn't resist!)

There are many cat antics to be seen, indeed. Welcome back, by the way!

...and leave my son out of your slash fiction.

We were actually a little concerned at first about getting a white cat (the runner up was a brown tabby), considering how much black there is in our wardrobes/furniture. Buuut hell. He's cute, and we'll deal :D

for 300 bucks those cats better live on that tower!

dont you think its a odd that it takes several weeks for nothing to happen on your order, then when you call and try and get things sorted out, you'll magically have the product by tuesday? I hate that shit. What would have happened if you didnt call!?

Man, it's all fucked up- I actually meant to order one months ago, but they're in such demand that there's typically an 8-week lead time. So I looked again about 6 weeks back, and it said they were in stock- we'd been talking about getting a second cat, so I went for it. A couple of days later I check again (got an order confirmation, but not the shipping confirmation they said to look for)... and it says they're back on the 8-week back order. I email and later call, but never hear back. I assume it's on the backorder and I just didn't notice the fine print, and decide to wait a bit. Then we get one of the scratching mats (just that one thing, numbered like it's a part of an assembly) via US Mail with no warning- I try to call again, no response. So last weeks rolls around and we've decided to get a second cat, so I try calling again. Finally hear back, it takes them 3 days to figure out what's up, and I get a tracking number last Friday. It says it should be here tomorrow... of course the tracking status hasn't changed since " ( ... )

He's got such a great personality, too- and, not to jinx us, but we've noticed that Zipper has been more mellow and friendly in the past few days.

I have seen the same reaction in all the dogs...as soon as a new puppy is introduced to the group the other dogs tend to grow up a little bit and calm down.

That's good... Zipper's a great cat most of the time, don't get me wrong- he could just be a little aloof at times. For whatever reason, he's more tolerant of me getting in his face and loving up on him now.

He's cute. I have (or rather my parents have) a cat that is very small and had a litter at a young age, around a year, and only one of her kittens survived. We kept that one and he ended up being huge physically but a little slow in the brain meats. I think you should name him Charlie like the character from "Flowers for Algernon". That way you can tell people he is retarded by choice.

I think I can only use that excuse for one animal per household, and I rely on it to get out of too much shit myself.

Me and Rudy, but he gets grandfathered in.
