Well, I did it!
Yesterday I went to the Mikveh. I'm now officially Jewish!
The experience was actually rather nice...It wasn't cold like I had feared,and was rather private. (although I did get water in places I didn't really want it... like the inside of my nose!)
Thank you to everyone who has supported me through my conversion!

Thanks for teaching me to make challah and meringues! (not to mention for answering all of my questions about kashrut)

Mazel Tov, Marie!! :D

Your present shall be presented in late August, so you don't have to worry about transporting it from one coast to t'other. In the best of hobbit traditions, though it won't exactly be a birthday party. :)

Many Happy Returns!!

Thank you!
And thank you for all your support! (about my conversion, and just in general)
In response to your comment on my last post (which I couldn't respond to because my computer was being annoying), you may deface hummers anytime. You don't have to wait until Ugly Truck day!

MAZEL TOV!

::grabs your hands and dances you around singing Hobbit Drinking songs at enormous volume::

::with Jewish wine of course::

Congratulations! I have great naches for you!

The courage and work you've put into this are inspiring and praiseworthy.

But of course, since you're Jewish, now with the guilt!
