As to the question, I immediately thought of Dollhouse, which while it doesn't quite fit was still a show that I enjoyed while at the same time not wanting to recommend to anyone for the fact that it presented pimps in relatively good light (That said, it does bother me that this is considered worse than all of those shows where the "good guys" just kill everyone who gets in their way. Why is sex worse than murder?).
I think, as a form of entertainment, the question really is does it bother you enough that you're not enjoying watching the show? I suspect the answer is no. It's like how society accepts more eccentricities in brilliant people.
Thanks for the comments Noel and (Jason?). No, I definitely still do enjoy the show, so I suppose in that sense, it's good to watch it since it brings me joy
