it's always a million times worse getting sick right after a meal you particularly love, because there's that risk factor of forevermore associating that meal with the illness.
like my post-awesome-turkey-dinner stomach flu back in january....

i hear that. sometimes you need to wait like 5 years before that reaction wears off and you can give the offending cuisine another shot.

speaking of shot, that kind of association is exactly why the smell of certain kinds of alcohol cause such a strong reaction to those who have over-consumed them. (even the sight of a canadian windsor bottle will still give me a compulsion to walk out of the liquor store empty handed.(good thing i never really particularly cared for the stuff. ha))

...turns out that a "bad association" can spoil even a useless habit!
