HUH?? Debrox is supposed to soften and loosen the earwax, not the tissue of the ear itself.
Now Q-tips, on the other paw, should not enter the ear canal at all, even though 99% of the population does it. (including me, but I'm really really careful about it.)
the ENT said it had to do with the fact that it contains hydrogen peroxide. also, it can help *cause* ear infections. she's had lots of people come in with problems cos they use debrox more often than just when their ears are really stuffed up.

I just do it the old chinese way: take a small, flat end stick that resembles the shape of a golf club and clean it out.
