I am leaving for Colorado tomorrow, coming back the 8th. I get to fly, and go through security, oh joy. NOT looking forward to that. I'm also trying to find out if TSA lets people put blue ice packs in either carryon or checked bags, because one of my presents is fudge and truffles, and they have a nasty habit of melting if they're not kept cold. I

You can't fly with ice packs in your carry-on; in your checked bag is okay. Also keep in mind that food is included in "liquids and gels."
