W&M is kicking my ass.

Even the one class that was already "done" at Guilford I'm having to basically re-do minus all the hours at my internship, just so the credit will transfer. Fuck.

Y'know, I considered going to W&M once, a long time ago. The reason I didn't go was the stuffed-shirt atmosphere I found on campus (even the guy with the ponytail and torn jeans was a snob). I still think of it more as a rich school than a good school.

So is it a rigorous atmosphere? Are you actually getting something out of it, or are they just dumping ridiculous amounts of shit on you so you can learn to cheat your way through it?

It's mostly just the reading that's killing me. I think it's more demanding in general here. I mean, for a concentration here, I have to take 7 classes, whereas at Guilford it was 4. I was also almost done with my major (4 classes), whereas here I need 10 more classes.

It is a rich school, but I still think we have merit. Not everyone is a snob. There are a lot of nice people.

They're starting a program to attract kids that make less than 40K next year. We're headed in the right direction, but there's still a ways to go.
