So, for Lifeskills, I have to write about my first day of school. Desperate to keep from asking la mere, this is what I wrote.
I don't really care about your opinion, because I'm turning it in, either way, but tell me anyway.
She was the one you saw in the hallway, and were terribly embarrassed for. You know exactly who I'm talking about, don't you? She was that raving lunatic outside your son or daughter's preschool classroom, terrified to leave her baby "alone". That's right - alone in a building with upwards of 400-500 people.
Please allow me to apologize for my mother. I'd like to swear to you that it wasn't normal behaviour, but I shan't be lying to you, now.
But - yes - my first day of school was rather... traumatic for her. Funny thing - I don't remember her ever shedding a tear on Jackson's first day.
