Walking in, I immediately noticed him sitting at a table in the corner. Lindsey isn't very hard to miss, in fact, he sticks out like a sore thumb, no matter how large the crowd. It could almost be considered a character flaw; if it wasn't so sexy.

"You're early."

Smirking, I take the empty seat across from him and lean forward, resting my elbows on the table. I must not have kept Lindsey waiting for too long, he hasn't ordered anything yet. He'd probably look a lot more optimistic if this place served alcoholic beverages, but the choice was intentional on my part.

I still can't remember what happened last time.

"You look cranky. Is it because I didn't want to meet at that dive you suggested? We can go there next time if it'll make you happy."

"You're early."

Elbows on the table, it's cute considering where she works. At least she's not the prim and proper hardass type, that'd make this a hell of a lot worse to deal with. I shrugged, leanin' back in my chair a bit more. "I was bored." I said simply.

"You look cranky. Is it because I didn't want to meet at that dive you suggested? We can go there next time if it'll make you happy."

Cranky? Whatever.

"This isn't a date." Although I can't say I'd mind that. "And since there's nothin' good to drink, yeah, I'm not exactly fond of this place." And that's putting it mildly.

"So I'm guessing everythin's set with Angel." I pulled the amulet from my pocket and raised it so only she could see it, not some dumb son of a bitch who decided to people watch. I caught the gaze of one on her side, and he immediately looked away. I smirked and looked back to Eve.

"This isn't a date. And since there's nothin' good to drink, yeah, I'm not exactly fond of this place."

It took a lot of restraint for me not to roll my eyes at his remark about dating. I'm not stupid, I know what this is; it's business. I'm putting my ass on the line so that he can have a little fun screwing with the new CEO, and so far it's hardly been worth my time.

"Well I'd invite you back to my apartment for a drink, but gee, that might make it a date."

"So I'm guessing everythin's set with Angel."He's probably resting in his penthouse as we speak. Our first meeting is tomorrow morning, but I expect that everything will go smoothly. Angel doesn't have a choice. If he doesn't like me, he can call in one of our psychologists and work through his female problems ( ... )

"It's...shiny, Lindsey. And hideous. Will you please put that away?"

"It's yours." I handed it to her. "It needs to go to Angel." That's goin' to make a nice little gift. "Drop it in his mail or something, I don't care. But it needs to go to him." Won't have the same effect if one of his lackies opens it up.

"And you already invited me back to your appartment." I grinned at her deviously. "I just don't think you remember that part. Nice place though." Hell, it took me a little while to remember it too. I'm just thankful I woke up before she did the morning after, I'm not much for apologizin' over something that wasn't half bad in the first place.

She's kind of cute when she slurrs her words together and starts laughin' about it though. The look on her face would be worth saying it, even if it didn't happen. "And by the way, word of advice, lay off the apple martinis for a bit." Yeah, just couldn't resist, it's my nature.

I glanced over as the waiter saw it was safe enough to come back. "You want anything?" I looked at her,
