My cell rang as we rode in Cordelia's car away from the mansion. We'd left Faith behind. We'd had to. But Wes, Xander, and I had gotten out. Cordy Chase had saved us. Amazing.

"Are you guys okay," my voice was calm, but I was panicking inside. I could only hope that either they'd taken Angelus out, or that he and Buffy hadn't yet talked about "family."

I waited to hear if they were all right. Then I'd ask them all to come back here.

Safety in numbers. Plus, Willow can help me do the spell to keep them out.

"Okay?" I tried not to scoff. We were so far from okay...

"We...Xander's hurt. Cordelia showed up, we're in her car. Things could be worse...We'll be back at the house in a few." I couldn't bring myself to say "Buffy's house". Because it wasn't hers anymore. But that didn't mean she wouldn't...

"Oh, Goddess. We've got to protect the house. Mrs. Summers! Giles, do you have that spell?"

"I don't think I have the book here Willow, but I'll look around. If it's here, I'll have it in hand by the time you guys arrive. I'll also look for some first aide supplies for Xander."

I sighed.

"Willow, you have no idea how good it is to hear your voice. I'll get looking."
