The only time I made a .gif was in 2006 but recently I really wanted to make something into a gif thanks to tumblr obsession with them so...after a bit of sweat and tears figuring out which programs to use...tadddaaa!

Le question, how exactly does one make gifs?

First I cut the part that I wanted from a video using a video editing software (I have iSkysoft Video Converter) and then I used Photoshop to make the gif. http://www.wikihow.com/Make-an-Animated-GIF-from-a-Video-in-Photoshop-CS5

You can also use GIMP instead of photoshop but I haven't tried it...
