every peice of information that could possibly be known is already in my head. however, i simply have not tapped into it yet. it is obvious that the brain contains information that the mind cannot access because there are two parts to the brain. the brain part of the brain (information) and the mind (emotion). the more i think about it, the more i ( Read more... )

ok, yes. that is all correct. but, we still don't know if there is a physical limitation to how much information can be stored in the brain, especially because we don't know how it is stored. so, when you(i) see, feel, touch, taste, or experience anything, you(i) could just be unlocking information that is already within occipital lobe.

the unlocking of that information would be similar to when somebody who has suffered from amnesia slowly starts remembering things.

There doesn't need to be a balance between emotion and logic in an area where one has presiding over the other.

Just as Logic has no real place in art, Emotion has no real place in science. Ideas and theories on how the brain works is all science.

I disagree, but let's leave it there. I don't want to argue over our difference in what our opinions of the truth are. I am always glad to hear your opinion though zack :)

What i was actually saying was that perhaps evan should find a balance of reason and intuition within himself. I found myself to have too much of one of those elements at one point, but over a period of time sort of balanced it out by introducing much of the other to myself. I figured if it made me a lot happier it might do the same for others.

ps: zack, do u live at home or at school? every time i see you is when you're hanging out with dana when she visits, we should chill

oh and pss: evan, is there any way I can use your schools darkroom before thursday?

"All knowledge originates in experience."
Unfortunately, as cool as it sounds to believe that knowing how to make our heart beat or breathe is programmed into our minds at birth, it's just not true. That's purely biological, and not related to how our minds work.
Another note: your brain does not hold any information, your mind does. Without your mind, you would have no thoughts, despite having a brain. Anything "in your brain" is merely chemical, and any memories/ideas/etc. are all taking place in your mind.
