today i was reading the box of my most delicious, all natural, organic version of trix, and it says that "non-organic farming consumes mote crude oil in the manufacture and application of chemical fertillizers than any other industry in the US" this leads me to the conclusion that perhaps my becoming vegetarian to save the earth is not the best ( Read more... )

Not to preach but-
My favorite vegetarien-related fact is that if every American consumed 10% less meat, there would be enough food to feed to 60 million people who starve to death every year. It takes a whole lot more grain and water to feed a cow to make a little bit of meat. If you eat lower down on the food chain there's more to go around. However, going organic is also super duper good. Hurrahs for Nicole...
